Private contact form
-
I want people to be able to email me directly from my blog website. I put in a contact form but this shows people’s messages on the page – like a comment or reply to my content. I want the message just to go privately to my email address, these are (hopefully) contacts from potential customers.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, a contact form does not do that. Comments do that. A contact form goes to your email address. These are the instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

Hi raincoaster, thanks for responding. My form looks like this on screen:
/Users/paulsnell/Desktop/Picture 1.pngand like this when it is filled in
/Users/paulsnell/Desktop/Picture 2.pngdoes it remain private to other users?

aaah!
the code is this:
[contact-form][contact-field label='your name' type='name' required='1'/][contact-field label='your email address' type='email' required='1'/][contact-field label='your message' type='text'/][/contact-form]
and when it is submitted, the screen still shows the message, with a (go back) option above it – is that how it should be? It does not look private to the person sending it.

It does not look private to the person sending it, but then, they already know what’s in it. Nobody else can see it unless they happen to “back arrow” to that page from exactly the same computer as posted it, before the browser clears its cookies and cache.
