Private email visibility

  Can other WordPress users commenting on my blog post see my private email address? My blog is anonymous but my email is my real name and I don’t want it to appear to the public.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Go to your Public Profile screen https://idunnoaboutthat.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-editor and check if your email address is listed in Public Email field and remove it if required.

  Blog admins can see the email addresses of everyone who comments on their blogs via the comments section of the dashboard.

  In other words, your email address will be visible to blog admins on OTHER blogs where you comment, but your email address isn’t visible when you reply to comments on your own blog, as your readers don’t have access to your dashboard.

  Also make sure you check the link staff-happychia provided as any email address entered there will appear on your public Gravatar profile. If anonymity is very important to you, you might want to consider creating a new anonymous free email address using Gmail or Yahoo, etc. and using that for your WordPress.com account instead.
