Private: Home

Why is the word ‘Private’ on my home page. I just want it to say ‘Home’
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi jaychelleadmin,
I’m not seeing a “private” on the homepage for lilmargaretsbluegrass.wordpress.com at the moment. It looks like you’ve got this sorted but come back to me if you are still having trouble.

Thanks for replying back. There’s another site I’m working on. It’s easterntraditionbluegrass.wordpress.com
-
Now I just went to that site and the “private” is not there. I guess it was just when I was creating the site. But there is a date on my home page that I wish was not there. I don’t know how to get rid of that.

The date is there because that entry is a blog post, rather than a page. (By default, WordPress shows your recent blog posts on the front page.)
What you could do is make a page with that content on it and then set that page as your static front page — see https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ for information about setting that up.
