Private or invite only settings

    Can I make a free WordPress site private or invite only through settings? I looked in my account and find nothing that would allow me to make my free WordPress site private or invite only.

    Hi there,

    Your site is still not yet launched. You would want to launch your site and then you will be able to change the Privacy Settings to Private.

    To do so, go to My Site >> Settings >> General >> Click on Launch Site and follow the prompts.

    On Choose a domain page, type something in the search bar and then you’ll see your free .wordpress.com address with the Skip Purchase option at the bottom of that page. Then keep following any other free site prompts.

    Once launched, go to My Site >> Settings >> General >> Under Privacy Settings, select Private and click on Save Settings.
