"Private" pages and posts appear in internal search

  I wanted to exclude some pages that are set to “private” and STOP them from appearing in the internal search results if a reader searches for a k/word that they contain (title or content).

  I tried the Search Everything plugin. It worked to exclude posts but for pages even though I excluded their ID’s they still show in the internal search results. (I don’t have a caching plugin).

  I wanted to roll out the already written posts in the future. Not make my readers wonder why when they searched for a word and found that word and then couldn’t access a post.

  I’m really surprised WordPress hasn’t already done this as what’s the point of making pages “private” if they aren’t completely private?

  Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins,….
