Private Post Commenting Problems
-
Hi All,
I’m having trouble identifying the best solution to a problem I’m having. I will soon be recruiting some individuals to preview my posts before they go live on my blog. I don’t want them to be able to make changes to the posts themselves, rather I want them to be able to make comments/suggestions about edits. So far, it seems keeping a post private is the best way to do that and assigning users to my blog (since posts that are pending review won’t allow comments – or will they and I just can’t figure it out?).
However, I’ve found that when comments are made on these private posts, it feeds to the “Recent Comments” widget which I don’t want.
Is there another workaround where I can write something on wordpress, keep it private so it doesn’t show up to others, allow users I’ve assigned to the blog to make comments, without their comments feeding to the widget (aside, of course, from altering code which I cannot do)?
Any help would be much appreciated!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m afraid the only options are to a) make the posts Drafts instead of published and make them Editors (in which case they actually can edit your posts) or b) to disable comments on those posts and tell them to email you their remarks instead.
