Private Posts
-
Hello! I have certain posts that are private and once I make them public, they send an email to feed subscribers. Is there a way to make them go from private to public without any notification or feed email? I combined to blogs and would like the posts to go live without any sort of notification. Thank you!

Hi there,
Have you tried setting the entire site to private, adding your blogs/posts to the new site, then setting back to public?
Here is how:
Go to My Site ->Settings ->Privacy and set your entire site to private.
When a site is set to private, email notifications should not be sent when a post is published.
Let me know if this helps.

Hello Jamielynne82,
You can turn off subscribers to your post by following the instructions outlined here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/followers/You should be able to turn off email and social media followers.
Let me know if you have further questions!

Hi @jamielynne82, I don’t necessarily recommend removing followers.
I do think, though, if you’ll make the entire site private briefly, at https://wordpress.com/settings — then make the posts public, and then make the site public again, you should be set.
For what it’s work, this site doesn’t appear to have been made private anytime recently. If you’re referring to a different site than the one mentioned here, let us know and we’ll double check its settings.
