Private setting: Does it eliminate need to id each post as Private?

  I have set my blog to PRIVATE in the Settings.
  Does that mean (I hope) that I do not now have to mark each individual post as PRIVATE when I am writing that post and preparing it for publication?

  It seems like doing double work if I set the blog to be PRIVATE in the settings and then still have to deselect PUBLIC and select PRIVATE for each post that I publish.

  No you do not need to make each post private as you chose to make the whole blog private. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
