Private Site

  Hi. I want my site to be PRIVATE and I checked the Support Pages only to discover that I don’t have ‘privacy’ as an option in Settings; and the link to visibility-privacy settings (or some such) doesn’t work.
  Perhaps they’ve fallen behind.
  Can you please advise?

  Are these the instructions you were found?
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  Do you see the option at My Sites > Settings > Privacy ?
