Private subscription vs. not being spidered by search engines question
-
I set up my blog to be “private” / “subscription-based,” but it’s throwing (some of) my friends for a loop and they’re having problems signing up and getting the grasp of the whole process.
Is there a way I can remove the “privacy,” yet make the blog available by a URL but — most importantly — make sure it’s not spidered by search engines and doesn’t show up in search results?
I’m on a personal journey through Europe and I just wanna keep it as private and personal as I can.
Thanks,
gThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you want to hide your site for search engines, you can use the following guide:

The JetPack issue has arisen again, unfortunately.
We moved the FairfieldCounty.info site to AngelStreetCapital.com and in trying to employ JetPack, it reconnected the site to my personal blog.
Isn’t there a way to keep that from happening and still being able to use JetPack? -
I actually only see angelstreetcapital.com connected to your ‘werenotdeadyet’ account. Is this what you wanted? Otherwise disable and then able the plugin again.

This has all become too much to ask of you kind people, but thank you for your help.
AngelStreetCapital.com and We’reNotDeadYet shouldn’t be connected in anyway, but when I try to install JetPak on AngelStreet, it tries to connect the two.
Urgh. -
If you want to connect the Jetpack site to a different WordPress.com account I can remove the connection from our end. After that you can log out of your WordPress.com account and then activate Jetpack again. It will then ask you to login a different WordPress.com to make the connection.

Are you saying that I have to get a 2nd WP account? I don’t want to have any connections. Is that possible?
-
Jetpack requires to be connected to a WordPress.com otherwise the Jetpack functions don’t work.
-
So, how do we make all this work?
I have my private blog (we’renotdeadyet) and an independent company blog (angelstreetcapital) and they should not connect at all, in any way.
Do I need to set up an independent WP.com account for AngelStreet? -
Yes, you can logout of your current account and set up a new WordPress.com account at http://wordpress.com/signup
Once that is done you can activate/connect your Jetpack plugin again at http://angelstreetcapital.com/ and connect it to your new WordPress.com account.
Let me know if you need any help along the way.
