  How to my classmates find me if I have a private web site? Do I give them my web address? How do they ask for my permission to view my web site?

  they can’t find you

  you need to send them a link

  you need to invite them into your site – they will need to have a WordPress.COM account. There should be a link for them to request access – or you can just send them an invite to their email address

  I checked the box: I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose.

  I didn’t checked the box: Users must be registered and logged in to comment. which said – If it is not checked, any visitor can leave a comment.

  So, I give my web address out to my classmates then how do they request to view my web site?

  if they have a WordPress.COM account – they just click on the “Request Access” link like I did a moment ago

  you can also send them an invite from your Dashboard >> Users > Send Invite I think

  with a private blog they need to be logged in just to view your site

  Sill having a problem with classmates entering my private web site after sending them an invitation.

  If I invite a classmate to my private website, must they be logged in with an account to wordpress.com before they can enter my website?

  I didn’t checked the box in Settings -Discussion – Other comment settings: Users must be registered and logged in to comment.
