Privately published page

  I am having a problem with a page I have marked Privately Published. My goal is to hide this page from the public but to provide its URL as the location of a download I give when they sign up for my mailing list.
  My users are getting the following error when they click on the link to my page: Apologies but the page you requested cannot be found.
  Am I missing something to make this happen or am I dreaming this could happen and if its a dream is there another option I can use?
  I am using the Yoko template and my site is dianaguerin.com

  Hi there!

  Private posts are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private posts are not visible in the Reader, feeds, or in any search.

  A way to make this work would be to upload the document you want to share with new users to your Media Library. You can then find the file link and put that in the welcome email to new followers. Here’s some information about how to do this. (Just ignore the part about linking it to an image.)

  Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure I completely like the result (it brings me to a blank page and immediately starts playing the audio) but it works and right now that is fantastic!
