Problem activating domain and linking to site

  • Unknown's avatar

Hello, I just purchased a domain and a premium plan. I intended to create just one site with the premium plan and using this domain, but somehow ended up with a duplicate site. Now I have two different sites – one with the premium plan and one with the domain. I also activated my domain via email but it does not show as ‘active’ in my dashboard. I would like to unify my premium plan and domain into a single site. Please let me know how to go about doing this. Thanks.

    WP.com: Yes

Update – I was able to delete one of the sites and transfer the domain to the site with the paid plan, but it is still saying my email is unverified (despite clicking the verification link via email several times)

  • Hi! I definitely see your chernandezsci.com domain is associated with your Premium plan and they’re both assigned to chernandezscicom.wordpress.com.

The domain is indeed showing as ‘unverified’; was this the domain verification email link that you had been trying to use? Just to note, it’s separate from your account verification!

I’ve requested a new domain verification email to be sent to you – please do keep an eye out for that in your inbox and/or spam folder and let us know if you’re still having trouble verifying the domain when it arrives.

Thank you! It seems I had never received a domain verification email.

I’m showing that the domain contact email has been successfully verified on our end, so everything should be good to go now! If you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help!
