Problem adding Custom Image Header

Hi,

So I just started this whole WordPress thing and was trying to add a Custom Image Header. However, it seems like I’m experiencing a weird problem and I don’t know what’s wrong.

Everytime I go to “Upload New Header Image” and upload it, and then crop it properly, WordPress tells goes:

“Header complete!

Visit your site and you should see the new header now.”

So, I go and visit my site but for some reason it still has the original default header. Also, when I go back to the Custom Image Header tab again, under the part where it goes: “This is your header image. You can change the text color or upload and crop a new image.” it shows the same default header and not the one I just uploaded.

Any suggestions?

You might want to try cropping the image correctly on your desktop first, then uploading it. There shouldn’t be any problem that way.

hey supposedly if ur using safari it doesnt work so well so try firefox

I am having the same problem too-I used to change my header pic, but now it says complete and my header pic is black. http://mercedesrules.wordpress.com

I’m having the SAME problem. It’s a problem whether I use FF or IE7. I’ve tried clearing all settings, i.e., history, cookies, cache, reboot, same problem. I’ve tried uploading different pics for the header. Still a problem.

It uploads fine but won’t allow to CROP nor will it display the pic it just uploaded. My header is now a huge black box. :(

This must be a WordPress problem right now. I’m not able to edit the image that I upload whatsoever.

Yes, it’s a widespread problem. Contact staff to let them know.

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one having this problem. I have changed out my header photos before so I know I’m doing it correctly. My photo uploads but then the “crop box” never shows up so that I can crop it. I just have a big black header box now. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

I’m have a similar problem. My header image was fine, and now there’s like a double image on the bottom. I’ve tried uploading it fresh again and again, but it keeps happening…there was even a time when it went completely black. Here’s my blog:
