problem adding "home" to menu

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I’m trying to add “home” to my menu. Currently home goes to my blog, which is fine, but I want to have a button in my menu that will allow folks to go back to my blog (home) if they go to other pages on the site. I changed some menu names and now I can’t figure out how to set it up properly. Thanks for your help. My site is http://www.creativegirl.net

    Hi there,

What you’ll want to do is log in to your account’s Dashboard and then go to Appearance >> Menus >> Manage Locations tab. You can then set the menu which you’d like to have activated for your site.

Once you’ve activated a menu, click the Edit Menus tab and you can set what items you’d like where, including setting a home menu item which takes people back to your home page!

great advice, thank you it worked. (of course). I basically had it find all the pages I had created and by default it listed “home”. I guess when you create your own menu and modify the home page location (as in I changed from a home page to using my blog as the home after establishing site menu). This was an easy fix, thanks to you :) Have a great night!

I’m so glad it worked how you wanted it to! Let me know if there’s anything else you need.

    Take care!
