problem adding jpeg to side bar

  I have followed the FAQ for adding a picture to my side bar, but on viewing the site
  only the html code shows up….and on two lines:

  <img
  src=”http://pearlministries.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/brazil-flag.jpg>
  after saving it the text reverts to <img> only

  HELP!
