Problem adding new photos to existing photo gallery to wordpress.com

    Hi- I’m new to using wordpress.com
    I have a photo gallery already created in wordpress.com that was created by an employee who is no longer with my company. I am trying to add new photos to the gallery but they are not visible. I also can’t see if she created an original page or blog from the wp admin for the photo gallery. Can someone please help? I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong.

    If so, go here https://innovativeimage.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page and hover your cursor over the page name until you see the Edit link, click it.

    When the Page Editor opens, click somewhere on the Gallery thumbnails until you see the edit pencil appear (screenshot). Click it and the Media Manager will open. You can then add images either from your Media Library or upload new images from the Add Images link in the Media Manager’s sidebar.

    Once you have added your new images, you can rearrange the order of the images the way you like it and then hit the Update Gallery button and the Page’s Update button.

    Hi,

    Try to visit the photo gallery/post while you are logged in to the site as the admin (who created the site). When the page is loaded, see whether there is an “Edit” button at the bottom-right corner of the screen. If you find the Edit button, click that and you should get an editing interface to add more photos to the gallery.

    @arafatbs -indeed that will get you to the New Dash editor, but thanks for bringing up the issue of the User Role.

    @innovativeimage If your username is not an Admin on the site, you would need at least Editor privileges in order to edit any post or page on your site. See here for more about User Roles: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

    If you were not the one who registered the site on WordPress.com, hopefully your employee transferred ownership of the site (as well as any upgrades they may have purchased, like domain mapping) to you before they left the company.

    Hi Everyone- Thank you for your help. It looks like I am set up as the administrator. I can edit a blog or page and add photo via the media library with no problem.

    I would like to add more photos to the “Gallery” It looks like it is set up as carousel. If you look at the bottom of my main page blog.innovativeimage.com, the gallery of photos is at the bottom. still am unable to figure out how to add photos or rearrange the order of these photos in the existing gallery.

    I have saved pages with just a photo on it and tried to “create gallery” or add to gallery but nothing happens. I am sure I am just overlooking something.

    I just figured out the problem. I needed to add the gallery widget to my sidebar. I was able to upload the new photo. I also see where I can change the order of the images now.
