Problem adding photos to posts
-
Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me with an image posting problem. I know how it’s supposed to work, I click “add image” or whatever, and I have the photo I want saved in my Media Library. All of this is happening in that little pop-out window. The problem I’m having is that when I click “insert into post” or whatever it is, I can see the photo show up in my text box, but then that pop-out window stays on my screen. It blanks out, but I can’t exit it or click things on the screen under it.
So technically I can add photos to my post I just cannot actually post them.
I’m not sure if this is a problem with my computer or if it’s a WordPress thing, but I would really like to start posting images…if anyone can help me out, that would be great…thank you!

Is this the blog you are talking about http://escapace.wordpress.com/ ? If so, please always provide a link to it when asking questions here in the forum since typically we have to take a look in order to help.
First of all try logging out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.

Yes, that’s the blog. Sorry for not including it.
And ugh, tried your suggestion. Still no luck!

I don’t have XP running, but I suggest checking in the IE8 preferences and make sure that java and javascript are enabled. Javascript is used in the editor, so if it is not enabled, certain things will not work.
Also, go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html and make sure you are using the latest version of adobe flash player. It might even be worth going to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and reinstalling the latest version.
The thing is yesterday I had XP fired up and was playing with IE8 on my blog, and did a test post and image upload and it worked just fine for me.
Have you installed any new virus protection lately or has your virus program updated itself lately (other than virus definition updates)?
