Problem adding Plugin for Google XML Sitemap

  • Unknown's avatar

I have to add a plugin for the Google XML Sitemap. I have read various solutions on various sites like http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/step-by-step-guide-to-install-a-wordpress-plugin-for-beginners/

According to this, the first step is – Go to your WordPress Admin Panel and click on Plugins » Add New

I can’t see this on my Admin page.

When i tried searching using http://www.definesmart.com/wp-admin/plugins.php. I got the message: The page you requested does not exist, or you do not have have the necessary privileges to access it.

I am facing big challenge in adding sitemap. I dont know how do i do it without plugin.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Further to above query. If there is any all-in-one SEO plugin please suggest that as well. I am waiting for your solution on my both these above queries.

I am not using free wordpress blog. I have my registered domain but still i have issues with adding plugin. Please help me provide the solution at earliest. I am struggling for a long time to resolve. Thanks.

How can i make my every post available to every search engine that supports the protocol, including Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Ask.com, and others, without worrying about sitemap. Does wordpress.com does it automatically? Please reply me asap. I wish my blogs to be searchable.

This board is only for technical and account support for free-hosted wordpress.com sites.

If your site is hosted on the wordpress.com platform it helps to list the URL that ends in wordpress.com

If your site is self-hosted, you need to check with your web host or the wordpress.org forums.

I have got domain registered, my site address is definesmart.com. But I think it is hosted at wordpress.com server only. Can you please check?

I dont understand what self hosting means? What does Self Hosting mean? Is it:
Some company other then wordpress hosting my site =Self Hosting?
    or
Domain registered in my own name but hosted on wordpress=Self Hosting?

I just want my every post available to every search engine that supports the protocol, including Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Ask.com, and others, without worrying about sitemap.

Does wordpress.com do it automatically? If it does, then my problem is solved. If it can’t do then please tell me how to add plugins. Please note I am new to blogging. So simple terms will be easier for me to understand.

    Thanks.

http://definesmart.com/ is indeed hosted at WordPress.com. That means it is not a WordPress.org blog. Plugins can only be used on WordPress.org blogs.

Unless you have blocked search engines, your site will be indexed by them within a few weeks, provided you post text-rich material at least once a week.
