Problem Changing Blog Name/URL, HELP!?

1. I created a ‘new blog’ named metalcon2015 I would like to delete because now I am very confused as to what it is! How can I go in and delete this new blog I have created?
2. Ultimately I would like to keep the blog I have up now at http://metalcon2014.wordpress.com and change the name/url to reflect http://metalconblog.wordpress.com instead of http://metalcon2014.wordpress.com
I “changed my blog name” but the links still haven’t changed, I am assuming I have skipped a step here,
HELP?

I am back to un-resolving! Need help again…
One day later, I went into my blog because I realized my link to “back to blog” is directing my audience to the page I accidentally created and thought I deleted!
when i go into my https://wordpress.com/sites/
I see both the incorrect METALCON2015 site that I would like DELETED
as well as the metalcon2014 (which is now named metalconblog) and when I click to customize or edit, it does NOT appear the way my blog does.Thankfully my live blog still appears the way I designed it, but I am very afraid to go in and figure out what is going on as I do not want to loose my metalconblog.wordpress.com settings.
Please help?!
1. I want to delete the new site I created I would only like ONE listed on wordpress.com/sites2. I would like to access the settings/customization for blog that is viewed live on metalconblog.wordpress.com so that I may update my link in the navigation bar above.
Help?
I actually think there is a glitch or something wrong with my account, hopefully not. -

Hello there,
To delete a WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. We can’t help with search engine issues. I am still confused as to why when I login and try to access my “sites” they are labeled metalcon2014 and metalcon2015 but both look like the incorrect page.
and the metalconblog page, is no where to be found.
is there a customer service i can speak to? i am concerned this is a bigger problem than a forum can fix :(

There is no phone support here. This is all going to boil down to exactly which username account registered exactly which blog URL.

Not sure what exactly did what as it took a bunch of clicking to get as far as changing the name, and when I did that it seemed to have created a new blog. Maybe I made the mess myself although it was an easy mess to make :/
It was “metalcon2014” until i decided to change it to “metalcon2015”
then quickly before any edits or anything i decided “metalconblog” would be best so I created that (not sure how or what technique I used) because wordpress is a bit more complex than I thought it would be to change my blog name yearly, so once I get this situated to metalconblog I will be a happy camper and never touch it again :(So ultimately what we would like is for metalconblog to be the only blog that exists anywhere in our system/sites/account/etc.
Wish I knew that about the no customer service before I created this blog, I am pretty sure we are committed to it at this point and I unfortunately do not find it as easy to design or do any of the backend set up as maybe I should… WordPress for dummies in the making I hope :D
I have subscribed, is there anyway I may also be notified to a seperate email account or just the one registered?

Update: I have found both emails in my account, and have not clicked to confirm the deletion of EITHER metalcon2014 or metalcon2015
At this point, I will not click ANYTHING. As I do not see metalconblog (my active blog with its customization and settings) listed on my sites I will not chance the deletion of anything.
So,
both emails are in receipt, I have NOT selected anything, and still CANNOT view metalconblog’s settings :)Thanks again!

I also have a new name but believe I mapped the two together before cancelling the old wordpress.com address. The new domain shows ‘Active’ but the old name.wordpress.com appears as a subset and shows as ‘never expires’. Also, it appears on the tab when I open the new name.com.
Do I have to create a new.wordpress.com then map the new.com to it? Is that even possible? Will I be charged again for custom name? I, also, just want the old name out of the picture. Too confusing.I’m sorry to hi-jack on your question, but it seems in a similar vein.

P.S. Hijacking threads does the blogger who started them a a disservice and apologizing does not change that. Every time you post into a thread the date and timestamps move forward meaning it takes them longer to get help. I recommend ditching the hijacking habit ASAP before you become known as a blogger non grata.

@metalconblog – Hi! We do offer support, just not over the phone. However, I can definitely help you to sort this out through the forum here.
Currently, on your account, you have three different blogs:
- metalconblog.wordpress.com
- metalcon2015.wordpress.com
- metalcon2014.wordpress.com
It sounds like the only blog you want on your account is metalconblog.wordpress.com, which is the only blog with content on it. The other two (2014 and 2015) are empty.
I’m happy to deactivate these from your account so they no longer appear under My Sites or any other view at WordPress.com. Can you just reply back to confirm?

I don’t have a habit of hijacking, thank you very much. I also do not have a habit of the “Happiness Support Team” being rude to me.
I am new to this and was told that WordPress was user friendly. I’m finding otherwise. -

I politely explained the disrespect hijacking demonstrates towards the creator of the thread and asked you to create your own thread. I also politely explained the impact posting into any thread it has on the creator of the thread getting the attention they deserve in a timely fashion. Instead of creating your own thread you hijacked this thread again to pout and posture as a victim. I suggest you create you own thread now please.

Not everyone is such an expert, One Cool Site. I used the term hi-jack playfully, not knowing I was doing something awful. My understanding of this annoying support situation is to keep like minded inquiries together. So I was trying to save all of you ‘Happiness Support’ people some time.
Your first response clarifying that it was, indeed, not the same topic, would have sufficed. But to follow it up with a threat of being blackballed was unnecessary and rude. I’ve informed WordPress as such via several tweets.
I will figure the situation out myself, that is unless I don’t pull from WordPress altogether because of this unpleasant situation.
I wish you good luck on your issue metalconblog. I truly did not intend for this to happen.

I am sorry for your situation stacyvv, I truly did not mind your asking for help. I am completely at a loss when it comes to the behind the scenes wordpressing and can understand your frustration. However I would give it a breather and try it out a bit longer. Goodluck

@metalconblog – I went ahead and removed all other blogs from your account with the exception of metalconblog.wordpress.com. Can you take a look and make sure everything is setup correctly?
