Problem changing header in free wordpress blog

  Hello,
  It’s been some time since I last used a free wordpress blog and I can see there are lots of features which are now disabled i.e changing themes, etc.. I’m using the “Ocean mist” theme which is supposed to support header customization. I’ve been trying to upload a new header using the exact dimensions but it wouldn’t show. I’ve never had any problems changing the header image before that on a free blog.
  Anyone suggestions?

  Changing themes isn’t disabled.

  What kind of file are you uploading for your header? Jpg? Bmp? on your blog I see only the standard Ocean Mist header.

  What is the nature of the failure notice you’re getting when you try to upload? What happens?
