Problem changing theme colors

    My blog has the writr theme, and there are six prepackaged color palettes. I was using the default one, which was teal, and decided to change it to red. However, parts of the site are not changing color like they should be. On a laptop, the tag cloud widget has green buttons when they should be dark red. On mobile devices, the strip below the header, indicating a menu, is green when it should be dark red. If you pick any color palette, those two things remain green. Why is this?
