How domain mapping works
Registering an underlying .wordpress.com URL first is required for domain mapping. That underlying URL does not have to match the domain URL when you are domain mapping.
What domain mapping does is providing a seamless redirect to the very same content under the new domain URL when a person clicks the old URL .wordpress.com to the original content. It can take up to 72 hours for domain propagation to take place throughout the internet but it doesn’t usually take that long. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
There are 3 ways to add a custom domain to your blog. Please note that an active WordPress.com plan is required to add a custom domain to your site. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#getting-started
WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/ The domain or mapping of any existing domain URL is included in the pricing for a personal upgrade, a premium and a business upgrade. The WordPress.COM upgrade for mapping a domain must be renewed annually.
WordPress.com does not provide an email service for blogs on their sub domains or on custom domains. Please see these support docs

re: search engine discoverability
It can take weeks for search engines to index your site content. Please read this support doc https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/ so you know we have no control over search engines positioning or appearance in the SERPs (search engine page results).
To verify blog ownership of a WordPress.com hosted blog with the major search engines you must use this process > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.WordPress.com automatically supplies sitemaps for our blogs to search engines – we do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines
Search engines aren’t attracted to sites that are page based. Sites that are post based where publication of posts, not pages is frequent are more attractive to them. To gain search engine attention, I recommend that you start publishing posts (not pages) https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ frequently. That’s because it can take weeks for search engines to index content in a new blog and/or to re-index content under a new URL.

Hello there @ecoatelier24, custom domains can take up to 72 hours before propagating throughout the internet and your site currently loads for me at ecoatelier24.com and is using the Button 2 theme.
When you have a mapped domain like ecoatelier24.com, that is what your site visitors see when they visit your site. However, your dashboard will always be at the underlying .wordpress.com URL like ecoatelier24fr.wordpress.com Only you will see that. Your images will also appear at ecoatelier24fr.files.wordpress.com
I hope that covers your questions, but if not, please let us know more information so we can better assist.
@tt WordPressdotcom does accept incoming domain transfers for the TLDs they already support. You can find more information about that in this support guide https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
