problem copying a blog from somewhere else and pasting it to my wordpress

  Hi,

  I am having difficulty in formatting pics and verbiage in word press. When I copy content from somewhere else and paste it onto wordpress it formats incorrectly. When I try to fix it as best as I can, it then changes the spacing and verbiage placement under preview. Please let me know what is the proper or easiest way to do this. I would really appreciate it if someone can call me at [redacted].

  Hey there,

  Where are you copying and pasting from? If it is another blog, we may be able to export the content rather than copy and paste.

  If you are copying from MS Word, all formatting is stripped from the text because Word is not a web application and it would bring unneeded code that would mess up your blog page and posts.

  What blog platform were you using previously?

  To import your blog, go to My Site → Settings and select the Import tab. For the import to work, you’ll need a valid .xml file.
