Problem displaying header or other image on links to blog

  Links to blog don’t display header image. Can I somehow choose a different image, or a part of the header image to display on links to the blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The header image is 770 by 140 in the two column layouts 990 by 180.

  NOTE: You must upload a header image into your Media Library as the guide describes so it’s on WordPress.com servers. You cannot link to a header image that is hosted anywhere else.

  I have a header image. But neither the header nor any portion of it appears when someone posts a link to my blog on, say, Facebook. Instead, an image from the most recent blog appears. Is there a way to choose what image appears with the blog–its nameplate so to speak?

  Yes, if that’s what it’s called. Sometimes having the picture of my latest blog is exactly what I want, but many times it’s not. Is there a way to choose, or when you make a post, to choose which thumbnail you want to use?

  No. Unfortunately, we have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.
