PROBLEM: EMBED A WEBSITE

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I would like to embed a website in my WordPress website.

I would like to do it without installing a plugin as I have a free plan (that doesn’t allow me to install plugins)

I tried to paste different codes that I found online In the HTML editor but I did not have any results.

    For example I used this:
    https://wordpress.com

Then when I updated the page the result was that I saw only a link to the website I would like to embed.

Would you be able to help me?
    Thank you very much!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi nicolabeggiomarketingportfolio

I would like to embed a website in my WordPress website.
I would like to do it without installing a plugin as I have a free plan (that doesn’t allow me to install plugins)

    – To embed videos to your site you can use VideoPress But to use VideoPress you must be under premium or business plan.

For more information on how you can enable VideoPress on your site and what exactly VideoPress is here is the support document for that:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/#enabling-videopress-on-your-site

I tried to paste different codes that I found online In the HTML editor but I did not have any results.

    For example I used this:
    <iframe src=”https://wordpress.com” width=”640″ height=”480″></iframe>

Then when I updated the page the result was that I saw only a link to the website I would like to embed.

    – Some of the HTML tags are missing from the list of the tags that are allowed to use. Those codes are not allowed on the Premium Plan and below for security reasons.

To get more information about the tags that are available to use in free, personal and premium plans here is the support document for that:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#html-tags

    Hope this helps.

    Hi there,

If you want to embed the website to your site then you must be in business plan so that you can use the tags that are not allowed to use in premium or below plans.

I have given you information about the video press by mistake. VideoPress is used when the user wants to embed videos to there sites.

    Hi Shubhamgmath,

I have just embedded in my free plan wordpress a link using an iframe code and works.

    This is the code:
    <iframe src=”https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XB09ckeI9NcdWDNY_64sNqc8_C0K50sf/preview” width=”640″ height=”480″></iframe>

Do you know why this link is working and not for the websites?

    Thanks

    – The code you used is for embedding google docs on WordPress site. When you paste this code in HTML editor of your page or post it is automatically converting into google apps shortcode.

You can easily embed your Google Docs spreadsheets, documents, forms, and presentations into your WordPress.com blog by copying and pasting the embed code.

For more information on the google apps embedding feature you can go through the support guide for that:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-docs/

To know more about the shortcodes that you can use in WordPress blog please refer to the support documentation below:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/

    Hope this helps.
