Problem embedding iframe Map

    I am successfully able to embed a regular google map, but when I try to embed an iframe map from other sites, the embed map function does not work.

    Here is the process I follow to embed a map:
    1. Get embed code from map site (ridewithgps.com or bikemap.net).
    2. Insert map onto blog post in HTML mode.
    3. Click on text mode to see if map is converted.
    (When I check in text mode before updating the blog post, the embedded map is shown correctly)
    4. Update blog page.
    5. Check site to see if map has updated correctly.
    When I check on my worpdress blog, the map has NOT been embedded correctly and I just see a link.

    *** This problem embedding maps does NOT occur when I embed a simple Google map.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    I’m afraid you cannot use iframes here at WordPress.com. This support doc

    Add Code to Your Site

    says amongst other things:-

    “If you are familiar with HTML, you’ll notice that codes such as embed, frame, iframe, form, input, object, textarea and others are missing from the above list. Those codes are not allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons”.
