Problem importing wordpress blogs to shopify store.

Hi for some reason my wordpress app on my shopify store is not allowing me access to import my blogs. When i enter all my credential an error appears stating i need to check my URL, username and password are all correct….which they are.
This is the first time this has happened.
Please help.

Do you have the Business upgrade? Without it ecommerce is not possible. WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for eCommerce transactions unless they have the $299. per year annually renewable Business upgrade. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/ecommerce-is-now-available-on-wordpresscom?replies=1

Yes I have contacted shopify. They said everything is fine from their end. I have the WordPress importer app on my shopify store which has worked fine until now. Have WordPress recently change something?

Yes, they are changing everyone over from http to https, so that might be the issue. Try changing the URL in your WP app to https://smoothvibeshop.wordpress.com/ and see if that works.

@whomikey — Have you tried changing the URL you’re using at Shopify to the HTTPS version https://whomikey.wordpress.com/ ? Please let me know how that goes. :)

@rachelmcr yes, I tried both and I also tried not typing http/https. All gave the same error. :{

Thanks for letting me know. Just to confirm, you’re trying to import your WordPress.com blog to Shopify using their WordPress Importer, right? (It’s a bit tricky since that’s provided by Shopify, but I’m checking with my team to see if we can sort this out for you.)

@rachelmcr yes, this is for the Shopify WordPress Importer. i’ve talked to 3 different people from Shopify and they keep telling me to talk to y’all. they claim it’s all good on their end.
