Problem importing XML from WP to WP

    I apologize in advance if there is an easy answer to this, but I have been reading for over two hours and I still can’t solve my problem.

    I have a blog hosted by Host Gator at http://karlacross.com/couponingbythesea.

    I wanted to move it to: http://couponingbythesea.com hosted by GoDaddy.

    I thought I could simply import the pages and posts by exporting the XML file from the old blog to my computer and then importing the file to my new GoDaddy blog.

    I followed the instructions and chose the WordPress plug in that allows the import but it just hangs up and runs and runs. Doesn’t seem to import anything. The XML file is less than 2KB.

    Is it normal for it to take a long, long time or am I missing something.

    Also I cannot understand if I am going to have links that work once this process is done or am I going to have to fix everything, because if that is the case I might as well just start over.

    I thought this would be about an 8 hour project, but sadly I am way beyond that now.

    I would appreciate any help.

    The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
