problem inserting images

When i click on the insert symbol for images, the cursor disappears from its location within the text and the image then always shows up at the beginning of the blog text. How do i get around this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you using an IE browser? If so then there is a known issue Staff are working to resolve. They have suggested a temporary solution which is to switch to using Firefox. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/browser-compatibility-issue

(1) Usernames aren’t automatically linked to blogs as we can choose which one to link them to. It’s easy to do. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located. :)
(2) Which browser and version of it are you using and have you tried any troubleshooting? See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
