problem linking to picture on other website
-
Hello..
I’m trying to link to a picture on another website.
When i put the URl of the picture (http://www.shipspotting.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=763792) in the designated line of the popup-box the sign on the line turns into a “red cross”.
When I try a link to a complete different website it does turn into a “green V”, so I guess I’m doing it right.
Can you please help with this matter, does the problem lay @ WordPress or @ shipspotting and what can I do about it?thnx & best regards,

The above mentioned URL is not an image link, but I see that you have added the ship picture and it is showing up fine, so where exactly is the problem? The image URL should end in .jpg (or something related).

As a temporarily solution I have downloaded the pics from the shipspotting-site and imported it into the blog as a normal picture.
The “terms & conditions” of Shipspotting.com stipulate that a thumbnail is allowed but the thumbnail should link to the picture on their site to create more traffic over there. As I’m also uploading pics to that site I would like to keep me to their “T&C’s” so Thats why I asked the Question.
I guess I now have to look for the image.urlthnx

The terms and conditions are fair and that’s what every blogger does and should do when linking someone else’s picture. If you download their picture and upload it to your wordpress then just link it to their website or post, instead of linking it to their specific image URL.
