Problem logging in: '1e100-reclaimed-20170327.wordpress.com doesn’t exist'

I recently went to wordpress.com to sign in as I normally do, and was redirected to a page that said ‘1e100-reclaimed-20170327.wordpress.com doesn’t exist’. (And also, I wasn’t signed in to my account after the redirect.) I wish I had saved the URL of that specific page; I only remember that it was en.wordpress.com. I at first thought that I might be misspelling my username in some way, so I tried again with my registered email address, and got the exact same result; next I accessed wordpress.com from Google and tried again, and yet again same result. When I went to the support page and saw that there was no way to ask a question about this problem without being logged into my account (!) so I tried yet again; from the _support page_, (/help/contact) I was able to log in successfully, and also access the ‘My Site’ console.
(In case it’s not clear, I have no idea what the significance of ‘1e100-reclaimed-20170327’ is.)
Is this a known issue? What should I do if it recurs? Can I be sure that I won’t be locked out of my account in the future? Thank you.

I have this exact same problem! Unable to log in without the “1e100-reclaimed-20170327.wordpress.com doesn’t exist” message coming up, then logged in on the support forum and got access to it that way. It is a bit worrying.

I tried to log in again, and it worked this time! It is all very strange though.

What I post below applies only to sites hosted by wordpress.COM. It does not apply to wordpress.ORG software installs.
You must be logged in under the exact same username that registered the site to be able to access the site. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
*Replace NAME_OF_BLOG in that URL with the actual name of your blog.
I recommend bookmarking that link or memorizing it.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login correctly under the relevant username account.

This was a problem on our end, but has since been fixed. If you still get redirected to that page if you try to log in, please try clearing your browser cache and it should work again.
