Problem mapping .co.nz domin

Please help,
I am having troubles mapping a .co.nz domain to a wordpress blog I have set up.
Every time I have tried to map the domain I receive the error message “not a valid domain extension”!?
Am I correct in thinking that I need Staff to set up a ‘Zone’ or somethign special for it to work correctly?
The URL to map is – blog.rotoruarealtor.co.nz
The wordpress blog is – rotoruarealtor.wordpress.comThanks.

You are trying to map to a subdomain on your custom domain, so you might be following the wrong set of instructions. The correct instructions for mapping a subdomain can be found here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/
Let us know if those instructions don’t work either.

I have followed those exact set of instructions and have also contacted my domain registrar just to make sure the cname records were set up correctly (which they are).
The problem I have been having is that when I go to My Domains to add the subdomain to my blog I just get the error message “incorrect domain extension”. I don’t know why but if I try any other domain extension such as .com and even .co.au it works fine, but .co.nz won’t work.
I have crawled through the word press support forums trying to fix it my self when I came across a few people with the same problem which was fixed by the Staff creating a zone record.

I have manually added a zone record for your domain.
You should now be able to map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

Thanks for all your help and the prompt replies.
But I still can’t manage to get it to work!?
When I try to map blog.rotoruarealtor.co.nz to the wordpress blog rotoruarealtor.wordpress.com I still get the error message
“Sorry but blog.rotoruarealtor.co.nz does not end with a valid domain extension.”!!!!Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is still happening?

You’re adding that via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard?
Also, do you own rotoruarealtor.co.nz?

>map an existing domainYes I own and have access to the domain rotoruarealtor.co.nz.

Try mapping it via the Store tab in the dashboard rather than the My Sites screen and see if that makes any difference.

Tried mapping it by going through the store tab and still no success! :(
Still received the same error message:
“Sorry but blog.rotoruarealtor.co.nz does not end with a valid domain extension.”
I don’t know why it doesn’t want to work.
Is it a problem with wordpress?
Any other ideas? -

BUT
The domain has been mapped to the wrong blog! :(
As specified in my first post,
The domain is – blog.rotoruarealtor.co.nz
But it should have been mapped to – rotoruarealtor.wordpress.comIs there any way to fix this?
