Problem mapping domain
-
Hi!
I’m building a website for my mom, but I accidentally mapped the domain that I bought for her to my own account and bought the premium package. Because I immediately found out my mistake, I cancelled the purchase and deleted the website. Now I want to buy the package on her own account and map the domain there, but I’m getting the notification that it’s not possible because ‘the domain was recently in use by someone else and cannot be mapped.’ Is there a way the domain can be released so we can use it on her account? Thanks in advance!
Regards,

Thanks @flowcarbfood. As staff I can do that for you if I have clear permission from both accounts.
Can you complete these steps?
– Specify the account you want this domain to be on
Then:
– Log out
– Log in as that user
– Make sure you’ve purchased a plan as that user (without picking the domain)
– update us here again with permission to map the domain to that account

Thanks for your reply @supernovia!
The account I want this domain to be on, is dieetadviescaron.
Because we started working on the website yesterday, we now choose the domain ‘dieetadviescaron.com’. If it’s possible, I would still like to add the .nl domain (dieetadviesoirschot.nl), so we can use both domains. Thanks in advance!

OK. Since you’re using the domain credit already, I’ve added mapping and set it up so you can pay for it here:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/dieetadviescaron.com/8678356You’ll also want to be sure to point your .nl domain to our name servers:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.comLet us know if you need more help!
