Problem mapping sub-domain
-
Hello there,
I’m having problems mapping an existing properly configured subdomain from an externally registered domain name.
I followed the mapping guide and set up a CNAME for the subdomain to the wordpress.com blog. When visiting the URL I get the expected WordPress notification (“Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found.”), so that part of the process is fine.
The issue is that when I try to map the subdomain from the WordPress.com dashboard, I get the following error message:
“Sorry but blog.natusana.mk has not been registered yet therefore cannot be mapped.”. Now, that’s simply not true, since the domain and the site associated with it have worked fine for years. You can clearly see the WHOIS details here and here.
I tried a few other popular domains from the same TLD, and I got the same result. This leads me to believe that the WHOIS service WordPress.com uses to determine whether a domain name has been registered or not doesn’t handle the .mk TLD well.
What can we do to fix this issue i.e. how can we make WordPress.com recognize .mk domains?
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Some users are having trouble mapping certain ccTLDs, like .mk, to their WordPress.com sites. In such cases, we can map the domains ourselves.
What’s the WordPress.com address (example.wordpress.com) of the site to which you want blog.natusana.mk mapped?

You should be all set now! Please be sure to renew the domain mapping upgrade asap:
