Problem moving blog back to wordpress.com

  I started out with a wordpress.com blog (healthhabits.wordpress.com)…which I moved to a self-hosted (HostGator) blog with a custom domain (www.healthhabits.ca).

  Now, I want to migrate the blog away from HostGator and back to wordpress.com.

  However…I am having issues exporting/importing the blog. Following your instructions to the letter, I am able to “successfully” import a 8.2 MB .xml file…however once imported, it doesn’t seem to include any of the posts I created since moving to the self-hosted blog.

  Help please!!!!!

  Hi synergymindandbody,

  Have you tried to export and reimport only the posts that have been created since you moved?

  I’ve also tagged this topic for a Staff follow-up. They’ll be able to dig into your import and see if anything went wrong there.

  Can you save a new export file from your site at HostGator? Try saving it to a specific place so there’s no chance of getting it mixed up with some other export file.

  Let me know if you’re still not seeing your posts after doing that.
