problem naming blog

  I am trying to name my blog, which will be a site for an academic journal. Nothing I enter is acceptable, so the only option I’m given is to use my own domain. I basically want to purchase the $18/year access to have a blog that is [name].com. I can’t even get to the screen where I choose this option because none of the names I suggest are available, which seems hard to believe. Help!

  If the names you suggest aren’t available, you just have to be a bit inventive; e.g. try a variation or try one of the names you want to use with another extension.
