    Hi,

For some reason, I’m unable to post comments when I have “Users must login to comment”. When I try to login, it doesn’t hold, and it keeps saying that i’m logged out. This happens to multiple users. Is there some setting that I don’t have set up correctly for this functionality to work?

    Thanks!

Might help if we know your broswer, browser setting, your set security level, who these multiple users are, where they are, what connections they have and if only happens to you if your on your Comcast connection or other connections as well. :)

    Need specifics by the way.

My money is either your on yet another broken Comcast proxy server (Wouldn’t be the first time around here) or you have your security level set too high.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m currently using Firefox, and i have all of the boxes checked for set security level (2.0 and 3.0). The multiple users consist of only people that I know, and they all have the same problem as well. I think they are all using Firefox, although I could be wrong. I am currently using comcast, although I think some of my friends are also using Yahoo DSL.

I’ve been having some issues with my host as well, goDaddy, and it seems that there are many people on these forums that aren’t happy with their service. But unfortunately, i’ve already paid so that’s what I’m stuck with for now. Could this issue be related to my host in any way?

    Thanks again.

Edit: I just tried using IE 6.0 and I still could not log in to comment. I am able to log into the control panel and write posts in both IE and firefox, just not comment.

I hate to say it but if you’re on Godaddy, then you’re in the wrong place as we’re running different software than you are. You need to be over here instead.

You may want to mention what those security levels are when you post over there as not everybody is a Firefox user.

You mention that other folks are logging in and then lossing their login, then that sounds like a cookie issue with the URL of the cookie not matching up with the URL of the blog. You’re not doing any redirects or anything funky with the name, are you?

Your best bet would be the other site though for help.

    Good luck,
    -drmike
