Problem registering and accessing email invitation to blog

  I am trying to invite a writer friend of mine to access and read my blog – when she clicks on the link to register and she puts in her email address – the prompt says ‘Invalid email’ – please help me figure out the issue – I want her to have access – she is the only one that had an issue.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there, can you add her email address here normally? The forum software will redact it so it isn’t publicly visible, but Staff will still be able to see it. Thanks.

  As the site is private, you will need to invite them to become a Viewer:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#viewer

  Is this the role you created the invite for?

  In order to accept the invite, they will need to be logged in to their WordPress.com account — trying to register using an email address that isn’t connected to their WordPress.com account won’t work.
