Problem: some setting or plugin adds /1000/ at the end of the page URL
-
SOS, NEED HELP! In fact, this is a whole group of problems. For example, there is a page with the address
https://vectormap.net/product/1234567/
Something or someone? when entering only a partial page name – for example https://vectormap.net/product/123… – redirects to the full CORRECT URL address. The second case is that something or someone APPENDS something arbitrary at the end of the real URL of the page – most often /1000/ or //1000/ or /feed/ – as a result of which PARASITE pages with redirects are formed. That is, this is discovered when checking the indexing of pages by Google. As a result, an unlimited number of duplicate pages with redirects are formed, Google swears, lowers them in search results, etc.
Example pages:
Look, if you enter the address
https://vectormap.net/product/pdf-map-columbus-oh …
then it redirects to the page with the full url
https://vectormap.net/product/pdf-map-columbus-oh-printable-exact-vector-street-cityplan-map-v-23-11-fully-editable-adobe- pdf/
or
https://vectormap.net/product/ardrossan-alberta-pdf-map-vector-exac …
– incomplete url but it still sends to the correct page address
https://vectormap.net/product/ardrossan-alberta-pdf-map-vector-exact-city-plan-detailed-street-map-adobe-pdf-in-layers/
Similar to
https://vectormap.net/product-tag/world-lambert-projection-map-pdf-and-adobe-illustrator/feed/
– in reality there is no such page, it will be redirected to the correct address
https://vectormap.net/product-tag/world-lambert-projection-map-pdf-and-adobe-illustrator/Analogous
https://vectormap.net/free-maps-in-the-shape-formats-shapefiles/1000/
– in reality there is no such page, it will be redirected to the correct address
https://vectormap.net/free-maps-in-the-shape-formats-shapefiles/
This creates an infinite number of DUPLICATE pages with redirects, which is perceived extremely negatively by search engines.

Hi there,
I’ve taken the time to look into your website and noticed that it’s actually using the WordPress.org software and is hosted by a different provider.
WordPress.org is the same foundational software we use here at WordPress.com, but it’s set up a little differently. Because of this, the specific help you may need can be different. To get the most appropriate help for your issue, I’d recommend posting your question in the official WordPress.org support forums, which you can find here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.
That said, I would also like to mention an alternative for you. You can migrate your website to WordPress.com. We are a managed-hosting platform, which means we take care of all the maintenance and security tasks so that you can focus on creating content for your website. We also offer dedicated WordPress support through both email and live chat to ensure your questions or issues are handled promptly and efficiently.
If this sounds like something that could interest you, we’ve built an easy-to-use tool specifically for migrating WordPress sites from other platforms to WordPress.com. You can learn more about how to use this tool here: https://wordpress.com/support/import-using-move-to-wordpress-com/
You can also take a look at our various plans and what they offer on this page: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
If you have any other questions or if there’s anything else you’d like to discuss, don’t hesitate to let me know.
