Problem switching from WordPress.com to WordPress.org
-
My website (http://analogrebellion.com) is showing the error “Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found.”
I had, at one point, my domain mapped, but I deleted that blog and changed the name servers on Godaddy back to their defaults. Why is it still trying to direct to WordPress.com? It’s been about 24 hours.
I read somewhere that the cname needs to be “changed back,” but I don’t know exactly what that means. What, precisely, needs to be changed?

Also, to clarify, I just switched from a WordPress.com account to a WordPress.org account, and the WP.org account is hosted on Godaddy.

According to a whois search, your domain name is pointing at godaddy.

and I’m seeing your .ORG blog at this address analogrebellion.com .
How soon you will be able to see it can depend on how often your ISP updates their nameservers. If they don’t update often, then you just have to wait till they update. I’ve seen it take up to 72 hours. It all depends on your ISP. Each ISP has their own nameservers.

One thing to do, is to make sure you are logged out of everything, clear your browser cache and cookies and then restart you COMPUTER so that it will hopefully flush its DNS cache. Then start your computer and have another look.

I also see the correct site – local caching can be a big problem – every site I have moved others could see the new site before I could.
You will also need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG –
the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
