problem trying to map an existing domain

  i´ve purchased a domain at nic.ar (a registrar in argentina). when i try to map that domain to my wordpress.com blog i get an error message stating that the domain isnt registered yet and can’t be mapped.
  The domain was purchased two months ago, is active and has been pointed to ns1, ns2, wordpress URLs

  Why cant i map it to my new wordpress blog?

  According to WordPress.com staff in a related forum thread, they need to manually add some domain names with country extensions. That may be the case with your domain.

  Please post the name of your domain and then add “modlook” to the tags of this forum thread. That will alert the staff that you need assistance with this issue.

  I’ve mapped that domain for you and set it expire a week from now. Could you go in before then to

  wordpress.com/my-upgrades

  and renew it for the full year?
