Problem updating an edit

  While editing a page [nasarobotproject/avoid with bumper] I find that if I edit as viewed, then ‘preview’ and exit the page turns out as expected. If, however, I ‘update’ before leaving the page, all the carriage return are dropped and
  the resultant page is not readable. [Firefox is the browser used]
