Problem uploading an archived (unzipped) xml file from Xanga

  I am trying to import my archives from Xanga. I followed the directions, but when I try to import the XML files (they have been unzipped and clearly have the .xml extension), the site tells me that what I’ve selected is not an xml file. I’m not sure what else to do because the file extension clearly reads .xml. I am trying to attached one file at a time as directed. Any thoughts on what I’m doing wrong?

  Also note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually.

  Please try a different browser or try the WordPress importer tool, rather than the Xanga one, to see if that helps, and let me know if you still run into problems with the import.
