problem uploading header
-
I am trying to upload a new header to my blog. The image is saved on my computer. When I try to upload it, I get the page that says “crop your header” but there is no image there, just a little box with an “x” in it. I am using the Misty Look template. What am I doing wrong? I downloaded this image from a website that I have used successfully before.

I’m having problems of my own. My blog is not displaying my header image, which it has until recently, that I uploaded back in March. Don’t know what the deal is.

Hi, could you each please give us the address of your WordPress.COM blogs, starting with http:// so we can confirm which WordPress platform you’re blogging on.

justjennifer, my blog is at http://peregrina1.wordpress.com but it is a private blog. I can send you a username and password for the visitors that I have invited if you need it. Thanks!

We probably don’t need to actually see the blog for the problem that you’re having; we just need the link to confirm that it is actually a wordpress.com blog.
Try checking the exact dimensions of the header in mistylook and then cropping your image to that size BEFORE uploading. This should avoid the cropping tool altogether.

Interesting… I went back to check the dimensions for cropping it, and this time it worked. Many thanks for the suggestion, though, I will keep it in mind in case I have future problems.
