Problem uploading photographs to media library.

    I can’t upload photographs to my media library. This problem only started yesterday – I’m very used to using the ‘add media’ procedures, and I’ve uploaded a number of other photographs onto this site, but now when I click on ‘select files’ nothing happens.

    I suppose it’s possible that I’ve altered some setting, but I can’t find anything that looks like I’ve disabled or changed it.

    Hi there,

    We’ve been getting some reports from users who are having the same issue that you’re reporting. Every one of them has been using Internet Explorer 9 (which is the same browser which you wrote in using).

    Could you try updating your browser version and letting us know if that resolves the issue? We’d very much like to know if this is just something wrong with IE9 or a wider problem. Could you also let me know what version of Windows you’re using?

    This is a message for Ash (who I suppose is amightywp).

    You helped with my problem uploading images during the week, as did your colleague Rachel. You emailed me a feedback form but I’d rather reply in person.

    Your support was great. Didn’t take too long to respond initially, and everyone piled in with suggestions and sensible requests for browser details to identify exactly where the problem lay.

    I’ve had a couple of WordPress sites for a year or so – I write theatre reviews and do theatre lighting, and I haven’t contacted WP support before, but I was mid-way through building a new photography site when the problems hit.

    You were very helpful, and the whole experience made me feel that I was part of a real community – a very warm feeling. I’m very happy to be able to respond and say – yes, it was great.
