I tried to change the text editor to the classic editor, but in the ‘plugins’ tab I do not see the option to change to the classic editor. Please help. Thank you.

    Hey @rzutzdystansu,

If you have a business plan on WordPress.com you can install the “Classic Editor” again as a plugin. After the installation, you have to activate it.
Your other option is to try the Classic Block instead:

    Kind regards

Hi @rzutzdystansu if you are trying to get back to the Classic Editor in the MySite dashboard, that was a WPcom in-house product that has been retired. The block editor, which has been the default editor for the open-source WordPress software since version 5.0 was released in December 2018, is now also the default editor for all sites on WordPress.com.

The original WP Classic Editor is currently available to you in the WP Admin dashboard, but be aware that it is, at best, a temporary solution. According to the WP.org site, the plugin will be officially maintained until December 31, 2021. However, we users do not know what will happen after that time and we do not know if it will be in use here until that time.

So if you choose to write in WP Admin’s Classic editor, start dabbling in the Classic block, https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/ or the full Block Editor https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/ in a test post or page. The more you use it, the easier it will become. FWIW – it took me a few tries and adjusting some settings, like pinning the block toolbar, to make the interface less frenetic, but I only use the Block Editor now.

Post back here if you have any other questions.
