Problem with “Add Custom Field” Images

    I write for a blog that previews posts on the home page in boxes with a thumbnail image. When I enter the image url into the value box in the Custom Fields section and click Save Draft or Publish, the page refreshes and the url in the value box disappears. Can someone help me figure out what I’m doing wrong and how to fix it? Thanks.
