Problem with adding widgets

I am using Andrea for my theme while I develop my blog. It has default links on the side bar. When I add any new widgets, the default links disappear. What do I do? Do I have to make a customized menu or what?
    Please advise.
    Thank you,
    Daniel R.

PS I am using Firefox 7.01; does that make a difference?

OKay, I got it…and what happened is a feature of the system. So what I have to do is add all of the default widgets plus any new ones…Correct?
Thank you for responding. You ‘guys’ seem to know everything; I really do appreciate that.
    Be well,
    Daniel

    Hello there,
The first time we use a theme or change to a new one what’s displayed is a default sidebar display that does not contain actual widgets. You will not find them here > Appearance > Widgets
What you need to do is overide that default display. That’s done by simply choosing the widgets you wish to use and installing them in your sidebare and/or footer widgets areas.

P.S. The blog linked to your usrname is empty and wearing the Twenty Ten theme. Is that the blog in question or not?
