Problem with additional users and switching themes.

  Problem #1: I am not able to create additional users to my blog, because the dialog never appears. So I send invites instead. They can’t log in. They create an account but can never link up as originally intended.

  Problem #2: I tried to change from my EventBrite theme to 2014, but that just broke my link to Event Brite under Theme Options when I switched back to the original theme. What do I do?

  #1 have they logged into their WordPress.com account prior to clicking the acceptance link in the invite email?

  #2 I’m not sure that I understand. Can you explain this a bit further?

  1. No.
  2. Since I could not see the user screen that I expected, I assumed there was a problem with the eventbrite theme. I turned that theme off and change to a different theme. I hoped that that would reset whatever problems were in the underlying database. When I switch back to the original theme, the link that pulls data from the eventbrite database no longer works.

  #1. Please have them try logging in first and THEN clicking the link. Things can go wonky if they are not logged in when they accept the invitation.

  1. We did the third and fourth times. No joy.
  2. We did 6-7 times from desktop and just now from mobile. No joy.

  1. When you say 3rd/4th time, did you resend the emails? Or were they trying to click on the links from an older email? If the latter, you might try resending:

  2. Can you be more specific? What happens when you click the “connect with eventbrite” button? You should be sent to an eventbrite login page.

  2. I get sent to EventBrite accept/decline page. I accept and confirm login. Then I get sent wp-admin options with no link established.

  1. I have resent request. I am still awaiting response from other users on their invitations, especially in light of the holiday weekend.

  It works! The calendaring system works!!

  I will follow up with other users to see if I can get them logged on.
